Adoption has the power to change lives in the most beautiful and meaningful ways. Our family, the Hansens, has always held family values close to our hearts. We believe that every human life is valuable, and we have always felt a deep desire to provide a loving and safe home for a child in need. For years, we had been considering adoption to grow our family. We talked about it, prayed about it, and researched it. We know that adoption is the right path for us.
As part of the adoption process, we wanted to start a crowdfunding campaign to help with the expenses. We wanted to make sure that we had everything ready for our new baby girl when she came home. We also wanted to involve our community in our journey, and we hoped that by inviting people to support us, they would feel like they were a part of our family as well.

We've received our Home Study certificate last week. This allows us to apply to an agency or work with a consultant.
The other item that was completed was our book. This is for the expected mother to learn about our family and determine if she wants to select us as the parents for her child.
We have also submitted our packet to an adoption agency, and we have a meeting next week with an adoption consultant.
