We have big news… we’re adopting (!!)
For those of you who know us, you may remember our adoption journey with Jones 5 years ago. After loads of prayer and consideration, we’ve decided to grow our family through adoption again.
Jones’ situation was very unique. So while it’s our second time going through this process, it’s our first time working with an adoption agency. We’ve chosen Covenant Care (a Christian adoption agency based in Georgia) and have made it to the end of our home study process with them. Now we are ready to move forward into the next step, which is getting our funds together to continue.
Thats what brings us here :) We are currently looking into grants, and are also putting as much cash toward the adoption as we can. But the reality is, adoption is very expensive. An adoption through this agency costs on average $35,000 or more. (That is actually on the lower end for most agencies.) Our goal is to raise a portion of that money if possible.
We’ve chosen to partner with Covenant Care because we deeply align with them spiritually. This is their outlet for ministry, and they focus time and funds supporting birth mothers for the rest of their lives, and giving fantastic support to adoptive families as well.
If you’re not feeling called to give, that’s ok! We don’t expect a single penny from anyone. We’d be most grateful for your prayers and for texts checking in on us. But we know that some people feel called and equipped to give financially toward adoption. If you are in the place where you have a desire to help, thank you! We are so grateful.
