Allen and Ashely Harvey
are adopting a child from United States of America
For some time now, there has been a quiet stirring in our hearts.
In the middle of our ordinary days—between routines, laughter, and the life we’ve built—we’ve felt it. A gentle, persistent calling. Not loud or rushed, but steady and clear:
I’ve have more in store.
We believe this desire isn’t accidental or fleeting. It is something the Lord has placed within us. Scripture reminds us that God “sets the lonely in families” (Psalm 68:6), and time and time again, we are drawn back to that truth. Adoption is not just part of our story—it reflects the very heart of God.
Ephesians 1:5 tells us that we have been adopted into His family through Christ. Because of that, we have been given a beautiful picture of what it means to choose love, to welcome, to make room.
And so, we are choosing to say yes.
Yes to the calling God has placed on our lives. Yes to opening our hearts again. Yes to the unknowns, trusting that He is already there.
We don’t know the details of this journey yet. We don’t know when, or who, or how. But we do know this: if God has placed this desire in our hearts, He will be faithful to carry it through in His perfect timing.
We are praying over the child who will one day be part of our family. We are praying for their story, their future, and the path that will lead them home.
This step isn’t just about growing our family—it’s about obedience. It’s about trusting God with our “yes,” even before we can see the full picture.
So here we are, at the beginning again.
Waiting. Praying. Trusting.
Believing that the same God who writes every story is already weaving ours together with another.
And when the time comes, we will be ready—with open arms, open hearts, and a love that has been growing long before we ever meet.

Update 1
Home Study Approved!
May 1, 2026Our home study is complete and we are cleared to adopt from anywhere in the US.
Now we wait and pray for the little one that God has for our family. We’re holding onto the truth that God’s timing is steady and sure—He’s already gone before us in every detail. While we wait, we’d be grateful for your prayers: for the birth family, for our child, and for our hearts in the process. Some days pass gently, and others feel long and heavy as we wish the waiting was finished. Still, we choose to trust. In this season, just like others before, we’re keeping our focus on Jesus and leaning into prayer.
Moving forward here are the expenses that will be required:
-Agency fee $5,000 (due at match)
-Attorney and birth mother expenses ~$10,000 (due at match)
-Other fees $5000 (varies)We’re covering each step in prayer as we move forward. This journey has us learning to wait on the Lord and trust Him fully. One of the bigger challenges has been the financial side—adoption comes with significant costs, and at times it can feel overwhelming. Still, we’ve watched God provide before through Elijah’s adoption, and that gives us confidence He will provide again. He has a way of making the impossible possible. In the meantime, we’re doing our part—applying for grants, staying faithful in prayer, and trusting Him to open the right doors at the right time.
We’re so thankful for each of you who has come alongside us on this journey. Your prayers mean more than we can express, and every act of generosity has made a real difference. We truly don’t take any of it for granted—our hearts are incredibly grateful for your support.
