Chip is preparing to retire from the Army after 30 years of active service. Yes, we realize we’re old, and yet it seems God has called us to adopt again- this time a 14 year-old boy from Poland. With our 17, 16, and 15 year-old boys still at home, we figured, “How hard can it be to add another boy to the mix?” In all seriousness, we’re excited and appropriately scared as we plunge into another big adoption adventure. We are officially matched with a 15 year-old boy, named Norbert. We are appropriately cautious about adopting a teen-aged boy but also trusting God. He’s been so faithful to us all these years- how could we not trust Him now?
Prayers- Norbert has significant medical issues which adds a greater sense of urgency that we complete this process as soon as possible. Chip is retiring from the Army in January. We’d Really like to travel in October/November.
