I never thought I wouldn't be a parent but I never dreamt of what that might look like for me. I found clarity when I met the two most perfectly created little humans almost a decade ago. The thoughts began as whispers which evolved into full blown out conversations with myself pondering if this is really possible. As I wasn't successful in shushing the whispers and all my talks with myself only ended in one outcome, adoption is my route to motherhood.
I'm adopting! I've been in the process almost a year. It will take, at worst case projections, 4 years. This is an international adoption from Haiti. I saved and thought the fees would be more evenly spaced out over the years to allow me to save and pay but the fee schedule has unraveled faster than I can keep up with.
To help you decide in making a donation, I want you to keep in mind a couple of fun facts about me. I'm most likely not getting married so you'll never have to plan on giving me a wedding gift. If I do get married by accident, no gift will be required. There will be no baby shower to gift for. I'm an employee so you won't have to worry about any entrepreneurial endeavors to support. As you can see my life hasn't or will call for much gifting at all :-) This is it!
All jokes aside, whatever you can donate will help offset the adoption costs I am responsible for in my motherhood journey.
