Parenting a child is a dream ten years in the making for us. A year and a half ago, we began the process of child-centered adoption with Just Choice in central Ohio, and we look forward to being matched with a birth mom in the U.S.

    Exciting news!

    July 8, 2024

    We have been connected with a new birth mom and are formalizing a match to bring home a baby boy this summer.

    We have remained confident that adoption is the right path to build a family, and have leaned tremendously on the love and support of our family and friends. Staying hopeful in the midst of all of the challenges we've faced has been difficult, but it has led us to another wonderful mom.

    This match is more expensive than others we've encountered. Between agency fees and care costs, we will need approximately $41,000 at placement. After a lot of thought and prayer, we are wholeheartedly committed to this match and trusting that the money will be provided through the generous support of others, grants, and loan funds. We are so grateful for the continued support of our community, and look forward to sharing more updates in the near future!

    Starting again

    April 30, 2024

    We were surprised over the weekend with an early delivery of a very healthy baby. Upon his arrival, his mom made the decision to parent him. Of course, this brings us a wild mix of emotions. Our commitment to a child-centered adoption means we always want what's best for any mother and baby we are matched with and supportive of any choice she will make, no matter how devastating it is to start over again.

    We are confident that we'll be blessed with the opportunity to parent in the near future. Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers as we navigate this grief and next steps.

    We are matched!

    an itty bitty update 🥰

    After a year and a half of preparing and hoping, we have been matched with a birth mother who is expecting mid-May! ✨

    Nothing is ever 100% in this process, but we are optimistic that the three of us are a good fit to journey together in providing a beautiful life for this baby.

    So we are thrilled to share this news, but we ask that you keep the mother, the baby, and us all in your thoughts and prayers as we approach baby’s arrival.

    We’ll have more updates in the coming weeks and months! For now, we’re embracing this tender and sacred phase of being trusted with her baby, getting to know each other, and learning as much as we can about the healthiest and most positive to approaches to untraditional parenthood, leaning heavily on our expert team at Just Choice and adoptive voices!
