We are so excited to be in the process of adopting a child.
After over two years of infertility appointments, treatments, and so many questions, we started to feel a tug on our hearts to adopt. It felt like every time we turned around, God was pointing us toward adoption.
Like so many other couples, once we started the adoption process, we were shocked to learn just how expensive the whole thing is - especially on two teacher salaries. When confronted with this cost, we decided to roll up our sleeves and get to work…. just like we preach to the kids we teach and coach every day! After picking up extra work everywhere we can, we still have a ways to go. The big expenses left are: attorney's fees, travel expenses (for the birth of the baby), and birth mother assistance.
We were met with so much encouragement and support from family and friends along the way, just wanting to know how they could help. So, we decided to create a place for people to donate to our cause, if they feel compelled to do so.
We are so excited to see where this path leads. Thanks for joining us along the way. We believe we have the power to team up with a birth mother to provide a safe and loving home for a baby in need - what an awesome opportunity!
