We have BIG news! We are adopting a child!
We are beyond excited and are doing everything we can to be prepared to welcome a beautiful new life into our home. As part of our adoption process, we have started a crowdfunding campaign. It may surprise you to hear that adoption-related costs can easily total up to $35,000 or more. This is why we have set a goal of $20,000 to help ease the financial burden that often overwhelms adoptive parents. Not to mention, most companies don’t provide paid parental leave for adoptive parents.
We hope that by inviting you into this process, you will see yourself as part of the community we hope to build around our child as he/she grows up.

We thought that it would be fun to have a visual representation of our journey towards our goal of being "fully funded". We bought this puzzle of the sunshine with 500 pieces to match the nursery theme.
It works like this:
1. We are “selling” each piece for $20. You can choose to buy 1, 2, 10, or 20. We will write your name on the back of each puzzle piece you "buy"
3. We will continue to add pieces to the puzzle with every donation we receive (whether through donation or grants).
3. Once every single piece has been “sold”, we will frame the puzzle with glass on both sides and hang it in the child's room so that he/she can always look back and be reminded of everyone who helped to bring them home.
