BIG news!
We are growing our family through adoption!
We are beyond excited and are doing everything we can to be prepared to welcome a little girl into our home. We appreciate any support you are willing to give to help assist with the high financial costs associated with the adoption process.
Through this crowdfunding campaign, we invite you to take part in the work the Lord is doing growing our family through adoption.
We cannot say thank you enough for any support you are able to give, and we ask for your prayers as we walk through this process.
We just got back from a 10 day trip to Taiwan to pick up our daughter. She has adjusted well to life with 3 older brothers. During our Skypes she said that she didn’t want to sleep by herself, but she she slept great in her own room.
Thank you for all of the support and prayers!! Now to a new life with 4 children!
We leave today for the airport at 8:30pm. The last few weeks have been a flurry of activity as we have been running around trying to get the house organized, as well as her room ready. Her room is probably the best room in the house and we're happy she will have a space of her own when she comes.
We will have 3 days in Taipei by ourselves before we take the bullet train down to Kaohsiung. Then we meet up with her foster parents, best school friends, and meet her caretakers again. We think about her as she prepares to say goodbye to everything that she has ever known, but we also think about our own boys who are spending their last few days as a unit. Will try to update as much as possible!
Just purchased plane tickets today!!! Two more months and we'll be together!!! Thank you so much for your thoughts and prayers!
We have tentative travel dates for June 6!!!!!
We have a court date!!! Our daughter will be meeting with the judge on January 31st. How soon we get to pick her up depends on how quickly the judge makes his decision. From the first ruling, it takes about a month for the final ruling to happen. Then it will take 2-3 months to make and go to all the appointments she needs to go to, like her visa appointment, etc.
We thought she would be nervous to go to court, but she said she's excited to talk to the judge about her new family. We skyped with her on January 21, and she seems to be in good spirits. I asked her what she wanted to do when she came to America. She said 1) Eat American food. 2) Eat what mother cooks. 3) Eat what Daddy cooked. 4) Accompany brother for his birthday. 5) Make my brother's birthday cake. She also mentioned that she wanted the shake the President of the United State's hand! lol
Thank you for your constant prayer and support. We are blessed to have such a wonderful village!
