Adam and Mary Beth Kram
are adopting a child from United States of America
We have BIG news!
We are adopting a child!!!
We are beyond excited and are doing everything we can to be prepared welcome a beautiful new life into our home.
We’ve known each other for over twelve years and have been married for five. When I met Adam, I never imagined he’d become my soulmate. I once said I never wanted to get married—but he showed me what safe, steady, life-giving love truly is. We were married on October 3, 2020, and soon began dreaming of the children we hoped to have. When we started trying, I became pregnant right away in April 2021. We were full of joy—until I miscarried while teaching at work. We were told miscarriages “just happen,” so we kept trying, carrying grief and hope together. In October 2021, I miscarried again after an emergency room visit. By 2022, we turned to fertility treatments—failed IUIs, brutal IVF cycles, daily injections (despite my fear of needles), surgeries, and endless appointments. Across two retrievals, we created three embryos. After medically induced menopause and more medications, a transfer worked. We saw our baby’s heartbeat—our miracle—only to watch it slowly fade weeks later. And once again, we lost them. After years of loss and physical and emotional exhaustion, my body could no longer continue. In October 2024, we stepped away from fertility treatments to heal. Through that healing came clarity: family isn’t built by blood alone, but by love.
As part of our adoption process, we have started a crowdfunding campaign. It may surprise you to hear that adoption-related costs can easily total up to 35,000 or more. This is why we have set a goal of 10,000 to help ease the financial burden that often overwhelms adoptive parents.
We hope that by inviting you into this process, you will see yourself as part of the community we hope to build around our child as he/she grows up. Thank you for all your help!
