We’ve ADOPTED! Adeline Jane Lawson was born August 13 at 12:29am. Through the gift of adoption and God’s perfect timing, James and I have become parents to the most precious baby girl.

To say this has been a wild journey would be an understatement. Adoption is beautiful and also one of the hardest journeys we have ever walked through so full of unknowns. God’s hand has truly been over every part of this process and we feel so blessed to be chosen to be Adeline’s parents.

While it is worth every penny to have this perfect miracle in our arms, the cost of adoption is high. Many people have asked the best way to support us during this process. While we have been blessed with some financial help from members of our family and friends, our financial burden (with the added cost of two failed placements) through this adoption journey still remains high.

The $40,000 goal reflects the net amount of Adeline’s adoption (total cost, minus future tax credits). Approximately $20,000 of this went to our expecting mother to provide a safe place for her to live during the pregnancy and other living/pregnancy expenses.

Through a journey of infertility and two previous failed adoption placements, God has had a plan from the beginning. Every single heartbreak has led us to this perfect gift. We are so thankful for all of your prayers and support in this journey. Adeline has a village of people who love her and we are so thankful.
