  Process update and Selfless love history

  January 24, 2025

  We are in the middle of our home study, and documents have been gathered. The first visit with our social worker is on January 31 (we will have 3 visits before the home study is complete).

  This Week, I had a conversation with someone about the cost of our adoption process. I wanted to open my heart to you and explain a little about the nature of this process and my journey with it.

  Our total Budget is $74,000 is honestly more than that because that will not include ICPI, the first application fees, or the home study, but thanks to you that is already paid. So I know a lot of you have asked why or at least feel curious to know why there is this much money or may have opinions about spending that much money, I had them too because is a lot of money and Where the money goes. the truth is the agency fees are not that much, around 2/3 of this money is for birth-mom and baby expenses, what do I mean by birth-mom expenses (she is not our surrogate) she is a human who is carrying our future baby and most likely she is placing her baby because she has not means to give this baby what she considers a good life, this means she probably has no medical insurance, have not money to get prenatal care, she may no even have food or any way of transportation to go to appointments and we could get a match with her at the 2nd or 3rd trimester and from that, we will support her as much as we can and is allowed, through our agency of course.

  It is a thousand more questions in that but the most important thing I want to share is something we have called SELFLESS LOVE, I (Ana) work part-time for a non-profit that helps pregnant women in crisis choose life for their babies, and let me tell you abortion is so easy in this country, in most states is legal, free or if is not there are organizations that will pay for all expenses to flight them out of their states to get an abortion somewhere else, and the organization I work for is not there to judge that but yes to help them (if they want) built a life that will allow them to have a real choice, and decide if they want these babies because 9 of every 10 women I come across in this situations are alone or getting away from DV with more kids and in financial hardship, we are not here to decide if this is good or not, but working there allow me to understand them and know that a woman who is willing to carry a baby to term and think "I want this baby to live but the life I have is not enough for him/her but I know is someone out there that can give that to this baby" that is what I call SELFLESS LOVE, and we know they will be different reasons of what a baby to be place for adoption but listen, this woman will be more judge for placing a baby for adoption that from getting and abortion because this is just the kind of society we are in, the point here is we want to honor that mom, with the way we will raise our child and what we will say about her, in this process I have come to reconciliate with the amount of money with the fact that with that she will have, mental health available for her, mentoring and counseling and help to built a life for herself her family and future kids if she decide to parent later, basic resources like food and more.

  Happy birthday to Ana!! 🎈

  January 6, 2025

  Yesterday we celebrated Ana’s birthday.
  So proud of her, some of you were witness of the year she had, two surgeries, so much loss and exhaustion but in the mist of all that she went to two missions trips and served woman around the world, was so amazing to hear her stories and everything she encountered ( if you want to hear more please contact her she is passionate about this).
  Even with the pain and physical inability she said to my she wanted to run and start racing, I know most of the people she shared this with thought, well she can barely walk and work and she does not workout, me included, but something is true about my wife. What ever she focus on she accomplished, she is perseverant and strong will so on January 4th she run her first 5k. I saw her training 2 months prior she went for a run during rainy days and at night it that was the only time she could fit she was determined to do it and she finished but not just that, she was 3rd in the 20-30 woman’s category.

  Please if you feel like it share your love with her. She ask us all to show her love by donating to our fundraiser, she said “ my wish this year is becoming a Mom and holding my child”.

  So please do so if you feel like and wish her a happy and bless birthday.

  We love you all and I can’t no be more proud of her and excited to see her become a mom 💓

  Happy New year!!

  2025 Here we come.

  Thinking that this may be the last Christmas where is just the two of us makes our hearts flutter with joy, Saying goodbye to the 2024 stop us to reflect on this past 364 days, wow this year was for us one of the hardest, Ana had 3 surgeries and that was scary, financially challenging and left us we a double lost, we mourn another year of not having a baby an even farther our biological opportunity, but we did learn to walk on faith as never before, we redefine the meaning on faith and hope.

  Today we full understanding we say “the best place to be is in the will of God” and we are so excited for what is to come, even with the hardship that may come alongside.

  We are deeply touched by the incredible generosity and love you’ve shown through your contributions to our adoption fundraiser. Your support means the world to us and brings us closer to making our dream of growing our family a reality.

  Each and every donation, message, and kind word reminds us how blessed we are to have such an amazing community surrounding us. We are truly grateful for your belief in us and in this beautiful journey we’re on.

  Almost there!!

  December 14, 2024

  You guys, thank you so much for all the support. As you know, this first campaign was $5,000 to cover our home study. We are almost there. With our savings and your generosity, we are just $300 away from this first milestone. What a blessing, and how exciting—the best Christmas present ever.

  In the next couple of weeks, you will see the amount for our fundraising change since the new campaign starts, this will be for our agency fees for activation, this will bring us active and our profile be shown to birth parents (we write this with tears in our eyes) we can't way.

  Our social worker will be assigned once we pay this in the next couple of days and we are scheduled to be visited around January 15 th, this paperwork and interview process will take around 60 days and we will have another 2 weeks after that to pay the activation fees to go active, this is planned to happen at the beginning of April 2025 and then start the sweet wait to be matched with our future baby.

  The journey is on time we can't believe is happening and you have been vital in this so THANK YOU THANK YOU. 🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸
