We are adopting! This has been a huge surprise to us as we were very confident our family was complete, but God has been doing a big work in our hearts. There are many reasons we have decided to start this journey, but this is some of what I wrote in our profile book about why we are adopting.
Our whole life has been shaped around loving people and creating a home and life that people feel welcomed and accepted into. We see adoption as a beautiful way to grow our family. We understand that there is always pain in adoption, but we know that God can cause great healing, joy, and peace to come from it as well. Because of this, our hearts have been pulled towards adoption and we are so excited to see how our family grows.
We are walking down this road knowing it will be hard, likely long, and full of many ups and downs. We feel nervous, anxious, excited, and all spectrum of emotions. But as we have begun the process, we have fallen even more in love with the beauty of adoption and feel honored to be on this journey.
