Josh and Kristin Lewis
are adopting a child from United States of America
We’re beyond excited to share that we’re growing our family again through adoption! Giving Judah the gift of a sibling has been a long-held dream, and we’re overjoyed to be on this journey once more.
As we embark on this process, we’re often asked where exactly the expenses for adoption go. For this specific adoption, here’s a breakdown of the costs we’re covering:
Home study update: $1,000 Agency application fee: $750 Profile book: $250 (we made our own this time but had to purchase a DIY guide) Expectant mother expenses: $45,000–55,000 (This covers their cost of living, including housing, groceries, doctor’s appointments, counseling, lawyers, and social work fees throughout and after the pregnancy.) Post placement fees $2,000.
Finally, we know that adoption is expensive, but we’re thrilled to be working with an ethical agency where each expectant mother is cared for and counseled by staff who help them make the best decision for their baby. We are so grateful for your support as we take this next step and can’t wait to introduce our growing family to all of you!
