We are so excited to share our adoption journey with you!
The calling to adopt requires us to be bold. We are called to do this as a family, but we cannot do it alone. Through our experiences as a NICU Nurse and an Inner-City Police Officer, we know there are many children needing unconditional love. We know that God has given us RELENTLESS and UNFAILING love and we are choosing to step out in faith and provide this to another child through adoption. We believe that we are meant to do this with our village (YOU!). God calls us to love the orphans and the fatherless and we are choosing to invite you to participate!
There are two ways to support us on our adoption journey. The first is through prayer and the second is financial contributions. We are trusting in God that he will provide for every step along the way. The financial needs for adoption are HIGH. The adoption will cost approximately $35,000 dollars. We do not want to pressure anyone or want you to give out of compulsion. We have decided to be fully transparent about the financial costs of adoption in order to walk with our community throughout this process. We also hope that our blog will serve to educate others on the process of adoption!

Prayer
“Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer.” Romans 12:12
Pray for our hearts as we prepare them for our future baby boy or girl. We know that God has a plan in place and the perfect addition to our family has been handpicked by him.
Pray for the birth parents- that they would have peace, guidance, and resources. Pray that they would see LOVE throughout this process.
Pray for our family as we enter into lots of paperwork and fundraisers. Pray for the ups and downs throughout the process. Pray for Everett and Clara- although they are young, may this process demonstrate to them unconditional and RELENTLESS love in the image of Christ.

UPDATE (7/29/21):
We have our last meeting for our homestudy this Saturday and then it will be finalized! We have our last training on September 18th. Then we will be a waiting family!!
So far, we have raised approximately $18,000 (this does not include our adopt together page). We have about $18,000 left to fundraise. We are also applying for grants.
