So… many of you who know me may already know I’ve always wanted to adopt—and I’m currently embarking on the journey to make this a reality. It’s exciting and nerve-wracking and scary all at the same time, but I would love nothing more than to welcome a baby or toddler into my life. I know I have a lot of love to give, along with more patience, light-heartedness, and “don’t sweat the small stuff” energy (and hopefully a decent amount of life experience and wisdom!) that comes with age.

For some people, this won’t come as a surprise, while for others it might be a bit of a “wow, what the hell” type moment! The reality, though, is that private adoption in the US can cost anywhere from $40,000–$60,000 depending on the agency. Because of that, I’ve set a goal of raising $26,000 to help offset some of the financial burden that often comes with this journey.

I’ll be honest—this is the part that feels a little uncomfortable to write. But if you feel moved to support me and would like to be part of this journey, I would be incredibly grateful.

Any contribution—no matter the size—will help bring me one step closer to becoming a mum (yes, I’m keeping the English pronunciation 😊). And if giving isn’t something you’re able to do right now, sharing this with others would mean just as much to me.
