Nicole Marquis
is adopting a child from United States of America
As a little girl, there was no greater accomplishment in my eyes than being a mother. I knew early on that somehow adoption would be part of my journey and told my mother so at an early age.
In 2023, I had to make the difficult decision to have a hysterectomy to live a healthy pain-free life. At that time, it became very apparent that the path to my dream of being a mother would be through adoption. I have always believed that God gives you the challenges that you can handle and conquer, and the hardships have shown me that I can and will. I am ready and excited to begin my journey to adoption as a single parent, and I am heartened by the spirit of my grandfather, who I feel is now my guardian angel, guiding me.
As part of my adoption process, I have started a crowdfunding campaign with AdoptTogether, a non-profit 501c3 that specializes in helping families raise money for adoption fees.
The average adoption in the United States can cost between $50k-$60k. The cost covers home study, agency fees, paperwork, legal fees, care for the birth mother, etc. Please note that every donation will go towards my adoption, as AdoptTogether only reimburses adoption related expenses, and as a 501c3, all donations are tax-deductible.
In advance, I would like to say thank you from the bottom of my heart. I cannot undertake this adoption journey without the support of my family, friends and people like you. To commemorate your loving contributions, I would ask that all gifts be associated with a name, as I would like to create a piece of art to display in my baby’s room. I want my baby to know all the people whose love helped bring them to me. I love all of you.

Update 1
Almost at the first finish line...
January 9, 2026First and foremost, I just want to say thank you for your support. This is a very exciting time for me, and I am blessed that I can share it with all of you.
I wanted to take a few moments to update everyone on my home study process. I am about 80% done collecting, documenting, and completing all the required paperwork. I am just waiting for a few more items that will be in within the next few weeks. Then, I will move forward with submitting everything to the home study agency.
We are one step closer to the first finish line.
