Starting a family is always a big commitment. Everyone has their own journey on how they become parents. We (Michelle and Cyrus) always believed we would adopt a child but were not sure how or when our adoption journey would begin.
Michelle and I have had our ups and downs getting our family started over the last couple years. This journey has been met with emergency hospital visits for surgeries, miscarriages, and difficult conversations about when we would get the opportunity to become parents.
Fast forward to today, we are excited that we have been accepted by a wonderful adoption agency (shout out to Catholic Charities) and have just finished our state classes for adoption/fostering. We are in the process of completing paperwork in preparation for our home study.
We have been overjoyed with the support from our community and many have approached us asking how they can help. It is not widely known that the adoption process can be costly. To meet the financial requirements for our adoption journey, we have set a fundraising goal of $23,000.
Every dollar helps us get a step closer to bringing our child home!
