Victoria and Ryan Morris

are adopting a child from United States of America

Hi everyone! Victoria and Ryan here :) We are so excited to officially bring you guys on our journey of ADOPTION. This has been a story in the making for some time now. If you don't know our story, let me introduce you. In July of 2021 Ryan and I began trying to conceive. By March of 2022, and 8 months of trying, we had our first pregnancy and our first miscarriage. This devastated us both, but we continued to try. After seeing countless doctors, and being pricked in the arm more times than we both can count, we were given the news that our best option for conceiving would be through IVF (Invitro fertilization). This was due to a myriad of things involving both Ryan and I. More time passed, and more months of being told "No" came and went, and we officially decided to move forward with IVF. After meeting with our new Endocrinologist we were told that our last doctor's info was not accurate, and she did not see one reason why we would not be able to conceive naturally… well, unfortunately, that has not been the case! My issues with Progesterone and Cysts have become a big factor in our reasonings for not being able to conceive, and after much thought, we have decided to take a step back from it all so that we can focus on what we believe God is bringing us to. ADOPTION.

Now, let me explain how we got here. Adoption has always been on our radar, but Ryan and I were under the impression that it would happen "after we have biological children" (not fully understanding the harm this thinking can do to our adopted child once they arrive). Well, one day our church, Mercy Hill, hosted an Adoption and Foster Care Expo! We decided, since this was in our future, we would go and check everything out! What I hadn't told Ryan was that I was being woken up in the middle of the night by the Lord telling me to pray about adoption! During the expo, we met Savannah from Christian Adoption Services, and it felt like the Lord had truly ordained this conversation. We talked for what felt like an hour, but Ryan is quick to remind me it was only 15 minutes. She answered all of our questions and took away all of our worries with every answer. We left looking at each other going, "Let's do it". The next day we sent in our info and were told the next required meeting wouldn't be until the new year, and it was November, so we were okay with waiting. WELL, as God does, the next DAY we received an email saying they would like for us to be in a class that they were having before the New Year (!!) We quickly signed up and on December 7th began our journey into adoption, telling our families on Thanksgiving/Black Friday!

Now we are on the part where YOU come in! Over the next few months, we will be raising money in a variety of different ways. This is the first way- Go Fund Me! We will also be offering video shoots, wedding shoots, wedding singing, yard sales, etc etc ETC so keep an eye out! We recognize that we cannot achieve the hefty financial goal without the help of those around us: our family and our friends.

We ask that you give whatever your heart tells you to! We ask that you send our information out to your friends, family, coworkers, etc. We ask that you PRAY for us during this process. This journey is long and arduous, so prayers for endurance.

Disclaimer: If something gets in the way of us moving forward with adoption, if I become pregnant, or if something else out of our control happens, this money will be donated to another family adopting. ❤️

Love you all so much, and we cannot wait to introduce you to our future tiny Morris :)
