We’re pursuing infant adoption!
We are beyond excited and are doing everything we can to be prepared to welcome a beautiful new life into our family.
Unfortunately, adoption is an extremely expensive process. We have started a crowdfunding campaign in hopes this will help us ease the financial burden and supply those who feel so led to assist us in bringing our baby home.
We know it takes a village to raise a child and are grateful for each and every person who chooses to be apart of ours.
We more than anything covet your prayers during this process for all involved!
We’re FINALLY approved to adopt!!!
This approval process has been longer and more emotionally taxing than we could have expected. Through each set back and frustration we have been covered in prayer and encouragement from our village and we will never be able to say thank you enough!
Even though this begins the true waiting season we are more encouraged and at peace that God’s will is being done in our life and the life of the perfect baby God already has picked out for us.
There has been some news that we after much prayer and research we decided to sign with Mustard Seed Adoption Consulting. This resource is in addition to our agency, AGAPE of Georgia. To say that Mustard Seed has been an answered prayer and source of encouragement is an understatement. They have poured into us in a way we are so thankful for and we know they have our future family in their best interest and we are so excited to partner with them to wait in prayer on the baby God already has planned for us.
If you have ever had to wait on pretty much anything in life you know… it’s. So. Hard.
That pretty much sums up where we are in the adoption process. We covet your continued prayers as we continue to wait patiently, understanding that Gods will for our family is being done and it will be far better than we can even imagine.

We know it has been some time since we have posted an update but that is because we have been BUSY! As of today we have completed our home study visits! That means we are in the beginning stages of the waiting game! If you are not familiar with the adoption process once the home study visits are completed there is a waiting period while the case worker writes a summary of all of the visits, references and paperwork. As you can imagine that is a lot of information so that can take 4-6 weeks. Then it has to go through an approval process within the agency to ensure the success once the home study is sent to the state of Georgia for approval which is the last step. Once all of those approvals happen we will be approved adoptive parents and could receive a call at any point. We are hoping June will be the month for approval!!! While a 6 month application process has seemed like a long time in some ways I also think time has flown by and I firmly believe that is due to all of the prayer, support and encouragement we have received! We truly would not have made it even this far without it. So THANK YOU!
While we wait we utilize this time to focus our efforts on raising funds! We are very excited that our adoption yard sale is coming up quickly on June 1st. We have been beyond blessed with donations from so many loved ones and we are happily accepting more donations until May 31st! If you are unable to donate to the yard sale you can still help by sharing the event and telling all of your friends and family about it and most of all COME SHOP! We are going to have tons of items and it will no doubt be worth the trip! We will also have baked goods so feel free to donate your favorite dessert or bring your family to come buy some sweet treats!

One of the final steps of this process is putting together our "family adoption book" that will be shown to all of the potential birth families when they are trying to decide which adoptive family would be the best fit. While putting together our book, I was reminded how truly blessed we are with the village we have around us. There will never be words that can convey how truly thankful we are for each and every time each and every one of you show us support in absolutely any way.

We have to start with an overwhelming THANK YOU. We never could have dreamed of the out pouring love and encouragement we have received since announcing our plans for adoption. We have always known we have amazing people supporting us and this has been proof of that. We are beyond blessed.
As for an adoption status update we have exciting news. We have been filling out paperwork and getting together all the documentation needed. If you are unfamiliar with the adoption process the application process and sheer volume of documents needed are vast. So to say we are excited to see the light at the end of the tunnel of paperwork is an understatement! We have been informed we will begin scheduling Home Study visits. We are SO excited for this next step! Once this step is complete they will complete the Home Study and we will find out shortly after if we are approved for adoption. Once we are approved it will simply be a waiting game!!
