We have big news, we’re adopting!!!

We are beyond excited as we prepare to welcome our first child into our home.

We met in the 7th grade, and instantly became best friends. From day one we formed a strong admiration and respect towards one another. What started as a wonderful friendship as kids, grew into a loving relationship as adults. Our wedding day happened 17 years later on September 22, 2012. We decided early on within our 10+ year marriage we wanted to adopt a child as both of us have adoption experience within our own families. Tasya’s father and grandfather were adopted. Patrick has two sets of cousins who have also adopted. Our exposure to these wonderful adoption experiences include key knowledge on how to embrace the honest adoption conversation with the child from early on, plus form positive relationships with the birth family. So with this rare experience it has encouraged us to take our own adoption journey.

Therefore, instead of your traditional birth or a traditional baby shower - to our super supportive family and friends kindly we’ve made this profile for donations to help off set the high cost of the adoption. Anything we raise is a blessing and goes straight to our adoption agency to help with payment. If you want to gift us anything else, hand-me-downs of anything neutral color/prints via baby clothing, baby toys, and nursery go-tos would be wonderful too.
