WE'RE ADOPTING!
After a decade of adoption as a dream on our hearts, years of waiting to grow our family and a full year of praying into our calling to adopt, God continues to unfold our beautiful story. We are overjoyed to share that we are in the process of adopting!
As we continue on this journey to adopt our child, we can't thank you enough for your love, prayers, support and financial giving that will impact our family and the life of our child more than you will ever know. In the past two years of waiting and praying through unexplained secondary infertility, we have seen the love and faithfulness of God wrap his arms around us through the gift of your love, prayers and support. In all the waiting and wondering, when we didn't know what God was doing, God knew exactly what he was doing. He was making a way and preparing our hearts for this story of adoption to unfold.
As God has written this child on our hearts, we are truly in awe of his goodness to plant that tiny seed of adoption in our hearts all those years ago. This has led us to trust and take hold of the best plans he has for our family, in the call to adoption! After years of praying for the story that God was writing into our lives, we are confident that adoption is the story that he has been writing all along. Our hearts are filled with joy as we hold fast to the promise of the sweet child that will join our family in God's perfect timing. We are so grateful that he has called us to be a part of their story, and can't wait to love them for life and bring them home!

Here's an update about our adoption!
After being officially accepted into our adoption agency earlier this fall, we are continuing to prepare our hearts and home for the adoption story that God is writing in our lives. Our hearts are filled with joy as we hold fast to the promise of the sweet child that will join our family in God's perfect timing and we trust in the best plans he has this beautiful child. We are so grateful that he has called us to be a part of their story, and can't wait to love them for life and bring them home!
As we continue to walk in our adoption story, we are truly so grateful for the gift of your love and support. We cannot thank you enough for coming alongside us as we bring our child home! We have been continually overwhelmed by the generosity towards our adoption, and we truly could not do this without you! We trust that God will be faithful to make a way (Isaiah 43:19) and we are holding fast to his promise to do immeasurably more (Ephesians 3:20)!
WHAT’S HAPPENING?
We are in the adoption process! At the start of 2023, we began praying into this calling on our hearts, and God has continued to guide our family every step of the way. We are adopting domestically through New Life Adoptions, with the hope of an open adoption with our beautiful birth family to come. As we wait for our home study to begin, we are preparing our hearts by attending adoption seminars and pressing into adoption education as God makes ready our family to welcome our beautiful child home!
WHAT’S TO COME?
We recently received an update that we are second on the waitlist to begin our home study! This means that we will begin our home study within the next few months! Once we have begun the home study, we will share another update about all that the home study entails and how you can be specifically praying into our story. Our home study will be complete within three to six months, and then we will officially be a waiting family! As a waiting family, this means that we can be matched with our birth mama and chosen to adopt our child. In this time of preparation, we will be applying to adoption grants, continuing with adoption education and raising financial support.
HOW YOU CAN HELP!
As we prepare for our adoption, we are so grateful for our wonderful community, whom we could not do this without! We would love your prayers, as God prepares our hearts and makes a way to bring our beautiful child home. We are truly so thankful for the gift of our wonderful community, whom we could not do this without! As we continue to prepare our hearts and home, here's how you can support our adoption story :
1. Would you pray with us? Pray that God would make a way for the adoption of our beautiful child and that they would come to know the love of God woven into their beautiful adoption story! Pray that God would give us strength for whatever comes our way while we wait to bring our child home. Pray for the mama that will make the brave and loving decision to choose life and place her child in our adoptive home. Pray for the safety, health and care of our birth mama and child. Pray that God would provide abundantly more than the necessary funds for our adoption story. Pray that God's goodness and grace would be revealed through each step of the process and that our adoption story would give him all the glory!
2. Would you share our adoption story? As we continue to trust God and believe in the beautiful story that he is writing, we would be so grateful if you shared our story, whether by sharing this adoption page or sharing by word of mouth! As you share, we believe that God will move in the hearts of those he is leading to give financially towards our adoption! Also, in sharing our story, we are hopeful that if God has plans to connect our family to our beautiful birth mama through networking, we would find our way to one another!
2. We are fundraising! Through a variety of fundraisers and grant applications, we are raising money to help ease the expenses of bringing our beautiful child home! If you feel called to continually give, you can donate via this secure website, Adopt Together. We would like to note that all donations are tax deductible and upon donating to our adoption page, you will receive an email from the donation website with more information.
We pray that by inviting you into our adoption process, you will see yourself as part of the beautiful community we hope to build around our child as they grow up. We're trusting in God's provision and more important than monetary contribution, we are abundantly blessed by your prayers - for our family, for our future birth mom and family, and our future child. We are hopeful for all that God has planned and excited to see how God opens doors and allows our story to continue - all to bring glory and honor to Him!
As we are in the early stages of the adoption process, we have submitted our formal application to New Life Adoptions Agency to pursue infant domestic adoption through the state of Minnesota, and we are preparing our hearts and home to begin our home study! Upon being home study approved, we will become an active, waiting family and pray to be matched with our birth mom and bring our beautiful child home!
As part of the adoption process, we have started a crowdfunding campaign. It may surprise you to learn that adoption-related costs can easily total up to $50,000 or more. This is why we set a goal of $30,000 to help ease the financial burden that often overwhelms adoptive families. We believe that God has called us to the story of adoption, and we are confident that he will make a way!
As you consider contributing to our adoption story through prayer, support and financial giving, we hope you know that when you give, your money goes directly toward the betterment of this sweet life. The financial support we receive towards our adoption will cover all of the following fees in the adoption process: Formal Adoption Application, Program Services, Adoption Home Study, Birth Parent Services, Placement Services, Post-Placement Services, Interim Foster Care, Legal Services and more.
