John & Kimberly Osborne

are adopting a child from United States of America

Hello, we are John and Kimberly! We appreciate you taking time to read our story and learn more about us.

Our story began at church in March 2010. Kimberly started attending John’s weekly bible studies, and John attended all Kimberly’s softball games. We were “just friends” spending all our free time together for many months while our friends waited for us to realize we were actually dating. We finally became “official” after Kimberly broke her arm playing softball. John immediately took action taking Kimberly to the ER and caring for her afterwards. In April 2011, John popped the question on one of our walks on the Greenbelt, and we were married that September.

We have always wanted to grow our family through adoption. We had our first son, Sam, a couple years after we married without trouble. When we decided to grow our family four years later, we struggled with secondary fertility. During this time, we tried fertility treatments, but ultimately decided adoption was what we desired. While in the infant adoption program, we became pregnant with our second son, Gideon. We paused our plans for adoption until our youngest son was older. We are back in the infant adoption program, excited with the opportunity to grow our family through adoption, and we are looking forward to welcoming another child into our family.

One thing people don’t always realize is domestic adoptions run anywhere from $30,000 and sometimes substantially higher to cover everything from making sure we are going to be great parents to doing the searching and matching, legal fees, and even health care.

Our goal is to raise $50,000 to make sure we are ready for any and all expenses that come directly from the adoption process. Much of which can come due at a moment’s notice.

Stepping Into Summer and Still Saying Yes To Adoption!

    May 24, 2026

School is out and summer is officially here, and the Osborne crew is ready! After a whirlwind spring—John coaching Gideon’s 3 and 4 year old soccer team, G crushing swimming lessons, and Sam powering through his soccer season—we’re excited to finally slow down and breathe a little. We’re so proud of Sam for being inducted into the National Junior Honor Society and of Gideon for graduating pre K. Big milestones all around.

This summer, we’re pumped to cheer on Boise’s new professional soccer club, AC Boise, and we cannot wait to experience the Savannah Bananas in person. It’s going to be a fun season for our family.

Behind the scenes, we’re also working through our annual home study update—an important step that keeps us active in the infant adoption program. It means gathering financial documents, medical records, background checks, fingerprinting, and making sure our home is fully ready for the little one God has chosen for us. It’s not hard, but it definitely takes time, energy, and resources.

And the waiting… whew. It’s getting real. The other night Gideon asked when the baby was coming, and “I don’t know” was not the answer he wanted. He made it very clear that he “can’t wait forever!” His honesty made us laugh, but it also reminded us how deeply our whole family is longing for this child.

We continue to pray daily for the brave birth mom and the precious child God has already chosen for our family. Waiting and not knowing is one of the hardest parts—but the longer we wait, the more opportunity we have to close our financial gap and prepare our hearts for what’s ahead.

If you’d like to be part of this journey, we still have 435 puzzle pieces available as we continue raising funds. Each piece brings us one step closer to bringing our baby home. Puzzle pieces can be purchased through our AdoptTogether page (https://adopttogether.org/families/search?q=FUN602200), an IRS approved 501(c)(3), or via Venmo @Kimberly Osborne 10. If you prefer another payment method, you can text John at (208) 697 1567 or Kimberly at (208) 890 8430.
Thank you for cheering us on, praying with us, and believing with us. We’re excited, expectant, and so grateful for every person walking this road alongside our family.

    With All Our Love,
    John, Kimberly, Sam & Gideon

    God is Good!

    April 16, 2026

God is so good! We are beyond excited to share how He is continuing to provide the financial resources needed for our adoption journey. It’s been incredible to watch His hand at work through our amazing community of family and friends.

We are truly grateful for every single gift—big or small—because we know each one represents a meaningful sacrifice. Your generosity is not lost on us, and we feel so supported and loved.

We especially want to highlight something truly inspiring: last month, two incredible kids, Eliana and Gallagher, chose to give up their birthday gifts and instead encouraged their friends to donate to our adoption fund. How amazing is that?! A huge thank you to their parents, Jason & Faith Boyd , for raising such kind and generous hearts!

We also received wonderful news that we’ve been awarded a faith-based grant from Show Hope Adoption Aid, which will be paid directly to our adoption agency to help with placement fees. What a blessing! This is another answered prayer and brings us one step closer to closing the financial gap.

If you’d like to be part of this journey, we still have puzzle pieces available for purchase as we continue raising funds. Thank you for celebrating with us and being part of what God is doing—we couldn’t do this without you! 💛

Puzzle pieces can be purchased through our fundraising website, Adopt Together (https://adopttogether.org/families/search?q=FUN602200), an IRS approved 501(c)(3) organization, or Venmo @Kimberly-Osborne- 10. To buy a puzzle piece using a different payment method, please text John at (208) 697-1567 or Kimberly at (208) 890-8430.

    Waiting & Praying Puzzle Fundraiser

    February 28, 2026

As we wait and prepare our hearts for the child God has already chosen for our family, we’re asking our village to pray for this brave birth mother—praying God’s will is done and that He uses us to love her right where she is.

We’d also love for you to prayerfully consider supporting our “Waiting & Praying for You” puzzle fundraiser. Give whatever amount God places on your heart, and we’ll make sure you receive the exact number of puzzle pieces that match your gift.

We are truly humbled by the love, support, and generosity poured out already. Your sacrificial giving means the world to us, and we truly feel surrounded by the best village.

    Waiting & Praying Puzzle Fundraiser

    February 14, 2026

    Dear Family & Friends,

We hope your 2026 is off to a great start! We wanted to share some exciting news regarding our journey to expand our family through infant adoption, and ways you can support us along the way. But first, let me share how our family of four are currently doing as we wait to be matched.

Sam is taking a break from soccer and will resume playing this Spring. He continues to stay busy with school, youth group, and playing as many video games as humanly possible. Sam has a job stuffing mailers for a real estate friend, and he took a Safe Sitter course through St. Luke’s the first part of January to launch into his babysitting career! There were only 2 boys in the whole class! It has been fun to watch Sam engage with little kids at church to gain experience; he’s a natural! I guess it helps that he has Gideon as a little brother to gain experience.

Gideon continues to keep us all on our toes! He is learning reasoning skills and makes great arguments. He will be changing daycares in March to help him transition to a new place that will transport him to kindergarten this Fall. We are grateful to know he has at least two friends attending his new daycare. Gideon has also been enjoying going to the Home Depot and Lowe’s DIY building project days making an awesome tow truck and washing machine piggy bank. His parents prefer Home Depot projects because the instructions are way better despite the messy paint!

John & Kimberly continue to stay busy with work, church, and kids’ activities! John is enjoying playing Ark Survival Ascended and Kimberly is enjoying reading through the book of Acts with the help of the She Reads Truth bible study. John is starting the bible study, 52 Weeks of Systematic Theology for Teens, with Sam as well. Together, our family also enjoys building community each week with our Life Group.

Waiting can be one of the hardest parts of the adoption journey; however, as we wait, we continue to pray for the child God has planned for our family, the birthmother facing a difficult decision, and for God to bless our fundraising efforts to close the financial gap. We recently applied for our first adoption grant, and we will know if we receive those funds sometime this June. In the meantime, we are launching our first fundraiser!

We have selected a special 520-piece puzzle of our family, and you can “buy” a piece of our puzzle for a donation. Once the puzzle is complete, we will frame it with clear double-sided glass. We will write the names of every person who donated on the back of the pieces they purchased. This puzzle will hang in our child’s room as a constant reminder of the incredible heart and community that came together to bring our child home.

We are so thankful for your partnership, prayers, and generosity as we piece together this new chapter of our lives. Together, we are building a foundation of love that will last a lifetime.

The Osbornes ~ John, Kimberly, Sam & Gideon

    Adoption Announcement!

    January 9, 2026

    Dear Family & Friends,

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! We hope you took time to slow down amidst the crazy this past Christmas season to celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior and the promise of His triumphant return. This year we would like to share some exciting news instead of our typical Christmas card. More on that in a bit.

The Osborne house is ending the year well. Samuel is 12 years old and in 7th grade GT classes and enjoys playing soccer several times a week. He is getting straight As and has started practicing with a U14 Gold team and has grown so much this year both physically and academically. Even the diagnosis of Type 1 diabetes earlier this year hasn’t really slowed him down. He has taken charge of his own destiny and is blazing a trail for others to follow. He is adored by his younger brother, and they play together so well.

Gideon is now 4 years old and will start kindergarten next fall. He will probably be the youngest in his class, but he is already counting to 100 and knows all his letters and their sounds. Gideon started playing soccer like big brother this fall, and John coached that team of 3- & 4-year-olds the best anyone can. In the end everyone had a good time, especially the kids. Gideon is a big kid, over 99th percentile in both height and weight, so he plays with the 5–7-year-olds as much as kids his own age because he is the same size or bigger than most of them. He is a happy kid always wanting to help with whatever we are doing.

On to our exciting news. We are in the process of growing our family through the gift of adoption! We were initially in the adoption process when we were blessed with Gideon in August 2021, and now that he is older, we are jumping back in. We are working with A New Beginning Adoption Agency and have been approved to adopt a child domestically 2 years old or younger.

We are currently in the waiting period learning to trust God to provide us with the child He has planned for us. Our home study has been approved, and we are actively receiving birth mom synopses. We would like to invite you to pray with us and for us as we continue to walk through our adoption journey. You can view our adoption profile at this URL https://parentfinder.com/view-our-families/#/profile/66986cfc4265cd0034601c11.
