We have BIG news!
We are adopting a child!
We are beyond excited and are doing everything we can to be prepared to welcome a beautiful new life into our home. As part of our adoption process, we have started a crowdfunding campaign.
When we first made the decision to adopt, one of the things that we wrestled over was whether or not we would ask for any help with funding. In a perfect world, we wouldn’t have to. There aren’t many things more humbling than asking other people for money! It’s uncomfortable. It’s vulnerable. The more we have talked about it though, the more we understand that it isn’t about asking people for money, but asking them to be a part of our story. Our baby’s story, in how they got to come home.

We have been on a roller coaster of emotions these last couple of months already with presenting our profile to about 15 situations so far. We have been a waiting family since January with our agencies and are still in hopes we will have the call in the near future!
We have started on the baby’s room and painted the walls, put together the crib, and hung some book shelves with a few Star Wars books of course!
We have officially signed up with 2 of the 5 agencies we are applying for! Got our profile books in the mail and sent out to agencies. It’s been lots of paperwork and education but we are ready!
