We are so excited to grow our family through adoption! After several years of not being able to conceive and lots of prayer, we are feeling God calling us to adopt. We are very excited for this new chapter in our lives and can't wait to welcome a beautiful new life into our home.
As part of our adoption process, we have started a crowdfunding campaign. It may surprise you to hear that adoption-related costs can easily total up to $35,000 or more. We have added up agency costs and potential extra costs (lawyer fees, birth mother expenses, home study, etc.) We have estimated our total to be around $48,000. But for now, to get us officially started in the process we need an upfront payment of $28,000. We are reaching out for support and help to ease the financial burden that often overwhelms adoptive parents so we can bring home our new son or daughter!
We hope that by inviting you into this process, you will see yourself as part of the community we hope to build around our child as he/she grows up.
Hello friends and family! We have a crazy update! We found out just before Christmas that I am pregnant!!! We are so surprised and blown away! Praise God!
This news however, forces us to press pause on our adoption fundraising. Most agencies will not allow a couple to adopt while pregnant and usually make you wait at least a year (maybe longer) before continuing the adoption process. We still hope to adopt in the future but right now we have to focus on our current blessing.
We are prayerfully considering the money that you have so generously donated. I believe it can stay here on AdoptTogether until we are ready to move forward with an adoption, but that feels odd to leave so much just sitting and, unfortunately AdoptTogether does not offer refunds to donors. It is possible we can still receive the funds so, we could potentially refund the money to you once we receive it if you would feel more comfortable with that.
