As many of you know, we have been on this journey with our three children for 5 long years. I have to leave out many details still, but I know you understand why.
Last September I went off the social media radar because we found ourselves in a really difficult fight for our kids future.
What some of you may not know is that we had to hire our own attorney to fight for our children.
We knew the financial burden that hiring our own attorney would bring and we did not know how we would afford it as our bank account don’t reflect being able to afford it, but we do know that we heard the Holy Spirit tell us that it was time to fight and be the voice of our kids and we felt the urgency of it. (A year or so prior we prayed about hiring an attorney and heard very clearly that it wasn’t time)
We are thrilled to announce that we have finally gotten permanency for all three children, and their adoption will be very soon!!
Child #1 has been in foster care for 3,960 days Child #2 has been in foster care for 2,056 days Child #3 has been in foster care for 1,632 days
God has aligned all of this, we firmly believe He will provide financially and that he won’t let our family be financially harmed because we chose to adopt.
We know and feel the support that we receive through prayer and we ask that you continue praying for our family, but if you would also like to contribute financially to strictly pay off our attorney bill for adoption, we have decided to create this platform on adopttogether.com
All donations through this fund are tax deductible and go directly towards the legal fees we have been billed to fight and adopt our kids.

February 8, 2024 our babies will officially be Pate's forever!
This statement takes my breath as I reflect on how good God is.
4 years into our 5.5 year journey with our babies, we were forced to let some things die in order for Him to resurrect them. In the blink of an eye, they were gone. The house was quiet, it was empty and it felt like we were grieving the physical death of 2 of our children.
It was not comfortable, It was excruciating. I was not hopeful, I was angry at God.
I spent hours sitting in their bedrooms just staring at the bed that I tucked them into every night, for 4 years.
I had some tough conversations with the Lord. “We’ve done everything right, why would you punish us like this? We don’t deserve this. How could you betray me? We sacrificed our family, our home to take in the very orphans that you asked us to and this is how you betray us!”
Time after time His response to me was “I know this hurts, lean into me,trust me and hold fast.”
24 days later our babies were returned to our arms...and now we have FOREVER
God is good. Thank you for loving and supporting our family.
