Help Us Recover from Adoption Costs as We Welcome Our Daughter Home In December 2025, our lives changed in the most unexpected and beautiful way. Within one week of first considering adoption, our daughter was born and we became parents. What many families spend years preparing for happened for us in a matter of days. We said yes to parenthood with full hearts - and then immediately faced the financial reality of a rapid adoption process. Between legal fees for interstate adoption, travel costs, agency fees, and expedited processing, we’ve spent approximately $30,000 to bring our daughter home. We have no regrets. She is everything we hoped for and more. But the speed of this journey meant we had no time to financially prepare for costs of this magnitude. My husband Jacob is currently on paid leave to bond with our daughter, but I don’t qualify for leave from my work at our yoga studio. We’re managing on a single income during these crucial early months while also carrying significant debt from the adoption. We’re reaching out to our community - and the wider adoption community who understands this journey - for help. Every contribution, no matter the size, helps us move toward financial stability so we can focus on what matters most: caring for our daughter and being the parents she deserves. Adoption is beautiful and worth every sacrifice, but the financial burden of saying “yes” so quickly shouldn’t define these early precious months of parenthood. If you’re able to help, we are deeply grateful. If you can share our campaign with others, that means the world to us too. Thank you for being part of our village. With gratitude, Ronny and Jacob
