  Thank you to each of you who have given and supported us this far in our adoption journey, we're truly grateful.
  We are still waiting to match with a family after our disrupted match in December or 2025. The agency we are currently working with is in SC and every year SC requires that we update our homestudy, agency contract and all medical and background clearances. This cannot be covered by our grant but it does cost us about $4000 every year. We are still raising money to help cover that cost, plus anything we will incur when we do travel for adoption: plane tickets, place to stay, time off work, transportation, food, etc.

  Would you help us share this fundraiser so that we can reach our goal of $10,000? We do have the previous 2500 in savings currently, waiting for either paperwork or a match/ placement, whichever comes first!

• Update 2

  Moving Forward

  July 29, 2025

  We wanted to share a quick update, since this past week we were chosen by an expectant mother and are now awaiting the baby's arrival. She is due in January.
  We appreciate your prayers and continued support!

  What we expect is that we will need to cover 1.5-2 weeks out of state/ off work, when baby arrives. Included with that is the cost of travel, a place to stay, food, transportation, and anything that goes with living out of state until all paperwork is finalized.

  As such, we are asking people to consider giving towards that total cost of approximately $6000, including covering our time off work/ bills still needing paid.
  We will need:
  Plane tickets
  Airbnb or hotel
  Car/ Uber
  Food
  Possibly some baby items, although we have several things here that could go along
  ***We also hope to cover as much of Jordan's work time off as we can, since self employment and other agency and legal fees are being covered out of pocket by us.

  Waiting to match

  We are still active with our agency and waiting to be matched. We have been having our family profile shown to moms choosing adoption but have yet to be matched.

  We're currently trying to raise funds to help cover the next step of expenses which includes a social worker fee due when we match, legal fees, and travel expenses/ time off work that will be a part of bringing a baby home. A big concern for us is that Jordan is self- employed and him taking time off work for travel will also result in no income during that time. We do not know exact amount of time we would be out of state but it could be 1 week or 4, and we will have lodging, meals and transportation to cover, on top of costs for plane tickets and adoption related expenses. We appreciate any and all donations given!
