Welcome and thank you for checking in on our journey to adopt Baby P!
Alex and I have trudged through the road of infertility since we got married in July 2018. We have endured five IUIs, 17 rounds of IVF, so many tests, countless procedures, acupuncture, supplements, special diets, well over a thousand shots, and, unfortunately, a lot of loss. Sadly, our seeking, knocking and begging ended with a closed-door on biological children. But when God closes one path, He tends to pivot us in a new GOOD direction. After a lot of prayers and seeking wise counsel, Alex and I began the process of pursuing adoption.
After several long months of education to complete the home study process, we are live for the placement of an infant and praying over the expectant mother to choose our family to raise their baby. Our hearts are so full. With hope, fear, excitement, anticipation, love and JOY!!! Did we mention joy? And excitement?!?
We have learned so much about adoption as we’ve navigated all the things needed to get to this step and will continue to learn as we move forward. The more we know, the more we realize what a beautiful, broken, courageous journey it is for all involved.
