We are so excited to start this journey toward growing our family. Your support will be vital.

Many know adoption is expensive, but do not realize it can exceed $50,000. These expenses go toward supporting the expectant mother through living and medical expenses, travel and hotel stays in the state where the child is born, and legal fees while we await the finalization.

    June Update

    May 31, 2025

    Thank you so very much to all who have donated to our adoption fundraiser! We are halfway to our goal (not all reflected on AdoptTogether), which is amazing!

    Our June update (a day early) is that we are still working through our home study prepwork. It has been much longer and more rigorous than we anticipated. We are likely a few months away from our adoption profile going live.

    We plan to run another t-shirt fundraiser in the coming months, and we are exploring the option of a recital event with a raffle for Emilie's handmade quilts!

    Paperwork Prepared

    January 31, 2025

    Good morning, dear ones!

    Yesterday I spent an hour printing, signing, scanning, saving, and moving documents around electronically. Today I will send them off to our agency. They will review our application and require more paperwork, like background checks, a physical performed by a doctor, and records of our medical histories. Then we will drive to their office in Fargo for interviews over two days. It’s such a long process, digging mercilessly into our personal lives, but so worth it. ❤️
