We have BIG news! We are adopting!
We started out this process trying to adopt one little girl named Anyi. However….
We have a secret to share!
As we began our adoption application for our sweet Anyi, we received news about another little girl that used to live with our family. There had been some advancements in her case and we were asked if we still had the desire to be a part of her life. We started with a few phone calls and have had two visits with her in the last couple of months. We had no idea that after five years of being a part, she still considered us her family. We were told that when people ask her about her family, she shares she has two brothers and a sister named Gabby, Owen, and Sam. After much prayer and seeking the Lord's guidance, we have decided to change our adoption application from 1 little girl to 2. A DOUBLE PORTION for sure! The girls are 6 months different in age. They had the opportunity to visit with one another and it was instant friendship. PLEASE pray for us! This "yes" might be our craziest yet, but our attitude has been that of Mary…."I am your servant. May it be unto me according to Your will." If the Lord desires us to be these two little girls' parents, we are trusting that He will also provide us the strength, the funds, the grace we need for such a task.
We have gone to all the right channels to make our requests to have pur 2nd little girl with us for Christmas. We are praying this would be granted! Please join us in prayer for this!
All Paperwork has been submitted! We are so thankful to have this behind us!
We have also submitted paperwork to try to get our second little girl to be with us for vacation. Please pray that we would be granted favor for that.
We had the opportunity recently to allow Anyi and her to meet face to face. They had a blast running around and playing together. We thank the Lord that He is weaving their hearts together.
We have taken new steps this week and the dossier is submitted.
We were able to order our Post Adoption Letter from Lifeline Children's Services in the United States. This cost us $200 and guess what, we were just donated $200! Praise God for His provision, one step at a time! Anyi is so excited! She prays every night that God will allow her to get her papers!
