ADOPTION UPDATE! We are so excited to share: WE ARE ADOPTING!!
Our family felt like it wasn't done growing just yet. As we sought the Lord about that, He led us to adoption! Specifically, our hearts are knit to India! India has over 30+ MILLION orphans who need a loving family and a place to call home.
Getting to the part where we bring a child home feels like forever away; we absolutely cannot do it without your help and prayer! International adoption is often a lengthy and very costly process, some adoptions are upwards of $38,000!
Our adoption is estimated to cost about $38,000, but our goal is a little more ($42,000). When we told our pastor about our plans to adopt, he immediately began to think of a way to support us. He challenged our church to donate towards our adoption during the month of April. For every $100 donated, their name went into a drawing for a hot air balloon ride. It was amazing! More people gave than wanted to take the ride, and our church family raised us over $17,000!!! We have also been blessed with 2 adoption matching grants, raising our support to $26,000! God and His people are blowing our socks off!
The only thing remaining to cover is our travel expenses. Visas, plane tickets, cost for a guide, food for while we are in-country, and hotel stay. This is approximately $14,000.

We have made it through homestudy and have moved onto Immigration phase!!! We are so excited! We just mailed all of our documents to our agency to apply for India's approval. USA has been applied for and we get our fingerprinting done this week! The long dreaded wait to get approved begins, but the wait, the hurdles, the anxiety, the entire grueling process is worth it to give this precious kiddo a family! We are not matched yet, but we have started talks with our matching specialist about what that process will look like. We are eager to get our first referral. Please keep us, our children, and this child to come in your prayers!
