Exciting news!
We are adopting a child! After over 18 months of waiting we were finally matched with a birth mother who is due in early September!
We could not be happier to introduce baby Charlotte Grace into our lives and provide her will all of the love and support she deserves. Both of us are so excited and are doing everything we can to be prepared to welcome a beautiful new life into our home. Corey has hand-painted a mural in what will be our nursery, and Courtney has been slowly gathering toys and learning materials for all ages to make sure our bases are covered.
As part of our adoption process, we have started a crowdfunding campaign. Unfortunately, adoptions can easily total up to $35,000 or more, and that’s just for domestic adoptions. This is why we have set our goal of $25,000 to help ease the financial burden that often overwhelms adoptive parents. We believe that the nature of adoption should be focused on the child’s health, safety, and best interests, not on who can afford the abundant expenses.
