11/03/2025 Update - Home Study is approved! We’re now officially waiting for our baby to be matched with us!

~Greetings~ We are ready to start our family through the blessing of adoption!

Who are Austin & Hailey? We are a couple who believes that education, ethics, humanitarianism, environmental responsibility, and animal kindness are the highest values to pass on to our child. Although we’re married, we are also best friends, and we love making memories together and crafting a life rich in experiences. Among our many interests are: animals (especially our dogs), global travel, cultural immersion, language learning, music/concerts, dancing, kayaking, hiking, and more. Our life is wonderful and full of happiness, but we dream of our third little Adventure Partner to make life all the more sweeter.

We have known for many years that our path to parenthood would require an adoption journey - it’s a knowledge we always joyfully embraced. We were beyond thrilled to begin the process and welcome a beautiful child into our lives, and after months of research and contacting various agencies, we finally found the agency for our family to find its roots. Since then, we’ve been taking the steady steps to prepare for life as a trio, attending parenting education classes, making friends with other adoptive parents and formerly adopted children, and continually dreaming for the day that “an opportunity” becomes the match with our child.

In the state of Texas, adoption-related costs start at $40,000 and higher. These costs cover a myriad of required expenses, and estimated “be prepared costs” for unexpected needs that often overwhelm adoptive parents. As part of our journey, we have started a campaign to help ease the anxiety of unpredictable adoption-related costs.

We hope that by inviting you into this process, and supporting our dream, you will see yourself as part of the community that we hope to build around our child.

    Our Home Study is Approved!

    November 4, 2025

    We received news on November 3, 2025 that our Home Study has been filed and is approved! We're now officially in Phase 2 - waiting to be matched with our baby!

    Continued Adoption Education & Home Study Scheduled!

    October 10, 2025

    At last (!) our Home Study is scheduled for October 24, 2025! We are incredibly grateful to everyone who has given us emotional support throughout the first phase of paperwork and required documentation. Additionally, we have continued to work on our Adoptive Parent Education courses - we've completed 16 of the 21 required hours! We look forward to our Home Study and are excited to reach that particular milestone in the journey before entering the next phase (the Waiting Phase). We don't know how long it will take to be matched with our baby, but each step forward gives us so much hope. We find ourselves talking about "our baby" as if he is already on the way. One day, he really will be on the way to our arms and our hearts! Your unconditional support and belief in us keeps our spirits bright.

    The First Step To Our Family!

    July 28, 2025

    We've taken the first step! Today we submit our application for adoption, along with the payment for the first phase. Now we need to send in the remaining required documents in the next 90 days (or less) in order to schedule our homestudy. Once the homestudy is complete and approved, we'll be on the waiting list of families! We know we could be potentially waiting for years, but with this first step we feel so much closer to bringing our baby home!

    Paperwork Progress!

    July 16, 2025

    Soon we'll be turning in the official application and first fee to the adoption agency! We've been taking some extra time to collect and compile more of the required documents in order to make the initial processing easier for the Family Case Manager. Hopefully this will reduce back-and-forth requests for documents as the FCM works through each step. There's more to be done, but we celebrate this amount of progress and the strong start it will provide us!
