SURPRISE!
We are expecting a 3rd baby through adoption in ONE MONTH!! This came as a surprise to us as well. Our adoption profile was not "live." However, the Lord has plans greater than we can even imagine! So, with Katie taking a full-time position as Stay at Home Mom, and Mark picking up a 2nd job, here we are, saying "YES!" to a very special situation. We are keeping it vague, until all the papers are signed 72 hours after he is born, but we cannot wait to share more!
Shiloh is now 18 months old, with JOY that brightens everyone's day and Anna Grace is 3, with the determination and spunk that blows us away. We are humbled to come to friends and family and share this exciting news. Thank you for the many who have already come alongside us in supporting our unique journey through growing our family. We think of you and give thanks for you often in our prayers.
Today is Mark’s first full day in South Carolina. Jordy is loving some snuggles with his dad! Jordan is doing great! He continues to gain weight and eat more from the bottle.
We have been blown away by the kindness of so many. Thank you for your support!
Jordan Timothy Powers was born Sunday, 9/3/2023 at 1 AM. Celebrating day 5 of this beautiful baby boys life today. At 4 lb, 3 oz, he’s maintaining weight here at the Coastal Carolina hospital between Savannah, Georgia and Hilton Head, South Carolina. He is small, but mighty! His due date was October 23rd, so he made his arrival about 7 weeks early.
Currently, he is in the special care nursery, receiving supplemental food through his feeding tube, but drinking bottles like a champ.
I (Katie) am here in SC and loving every minute of snuggles with him. He is such a sweet gift from the Lord! And by God’s grace is such a healthy little guy! I cannot wait for Mark to meet him, when he comes tomorrow, Friday.
Anna Grace is recovering slowly from her tonsillectomy, but seems to have turned a corner today. AG loves her baby boy, JT, from afar - already singing to him over FaceTime. 🩵 Shiloh is full of energy, pretty unaware, but seemed pretty excited to meet JT, saying “baby!” During our FaceTime chat.
The PA said we could be coming home next Friday at the earliest. Please pray for Mark as full time dad when I’m not there, cousin Rachel while she watches the girls for the weekend, and for me and the girls as we miss each other tons! Trusting the Lord with each step and rejoicing in His good gifts, delivered in His perfect timing.
