BIG news!
We are adopting again!
We are very excited and doing all we can to welcome our daughter, Maia, home.
There is an urgency associated with Maia's adoption so we have started a crowdfunding campaign to help fund the accelerated process. It may surprise you to hear that adoption related costs can easily total $35,000 or more. This is why we have set a goal of $50,000 to help ease the financial burden that often overwhelms adoptive parents. We understand that this is a daunting goal, but every little bit will meet a specific need.
We hope that by inviting you into this process, you will see yourself as part of the community we hope to build around Maia as she grows up.
The Catholic Adoption Center in Poland has reviewed our dossier and approved our petition to adopt Maia. They have forwarded our dossier and positive referral to the Ministry of Family and Social Policy for final approval. The next step will be to submit a petition to the US government to get approval for Maia to immigrate to the US and be classified as an immediate relative. Once our petition is approved, then we will need to apply for an Immigrant Visa and travel to Poland to finalize the adoption. Please pray that this process proceeds quickly and smoothly. We really want to bring Maia home before her birthday in December.

Our I-800A application to determine if we are eligible to adopt Maia from Poland and immigrate her to the U.S. has been received by Homeland Security. We also just received notice of our appointment to have biometric fingerprints done on 11/1 for further criminal background checks required as part of the approval process. Please continue to pray for our family and Maia. We appreciate all of your support.

Our new home study has been completed and approved by our agency to adopt Maia in Poland. Our next step is to submit documentation to the U.S. government to determine if we are suitable to adopt a child from Poland. The approval process can take up to 4 months so it could be a while before we have any further updates. Pray for us and Maia during this time that God will work through this process to His glory.
