The Rallis Tribe is adopting again!
Many of you know our story but for those who might not be familiar, we are Jason and Kate. We grew up as friends, grew close in high school, and fell in love as young adults.
Before we found love, we had lots of conversations about adoption and individually hoped to include it in our own family stories…turns out, love lead us to create a family together! After bringing our two precious boys into the world, we began our journey as licensed foster care parents and were blessed by the adoptions of our youngest son and only daughter.
With four kids, ages four and under, it was time to close our foster care license and hit the road in search of a great adventure! After three years of our nomadic travels and building our business from the inside of a tiny camper, we found our new state, our new small town, our cute little home, and our wonderful community of friends. Our family bonds were tight, our kids were thriving, and we felt complete. We were truly, deeply content as the Rallis Tribe, six strong.
We were settling into our new home and community when our kids started to ask for one more sibling via adoption.
Three years later, in February 2023, we started to seriously and prayerfully look into our options. After more than a year of research, prayer and careful consideration, we came to the same conclusion that our kids consistently held onto with hope. We might be six strong today, but a seventh is on the way!
Adoption-related costs for domestic infant adoption can easily total up to $35,000 or more. The costs related to domestic adoption are a reason why some families don't take this path and we admit, the numbers are intimidating but with our hard work, saving, grant-writing, and in partnership with the generosity of others like you, we see a way forward. We have started this crowdfunding campaign to help with some of the costs. Donating is tax deductible and funds are issued as grant money in our name, delivered to our agency.
