We are humbled and excited to announce that we have embarked on a journey to grow our family through adoption!

Many of our family and friends know that we had been best friends many years before we started dating, and the resulting strength of our relationship has been an incredible gift. We were filled with joy to finally be married in 2022, and we were just as joyful as we contemplated raising our family, a calling we have both long believed God has wanted for our lives.

We are so blessed to have been surrounded with love and sensitivity by those close to us as we have navigated the many difficulties of fertility treatments. We’re equally blessed by the love and support we’ve received as we’ve discerned the path toward growing our family through adoption, after years of hoping and praying for a baby that has not yet arrived. We couldn’t be more grateful to our loved ones for their prayers, time, help, and words of hope and comfort.

It may surprise you to know that our adoption expenses are expected to total about $55,000. To help ease this financial burden, we’re working on fundraising efforts, including launching a crowdfunding campaign. We humbly invite you to participate in helping us become the home for a child and in ministering to his or her birth parents. We can’t say thank you enough for any donation of any amount, and we also ask for prayers as we continue to forge ahead.

    We are officially fully funded!

    Hi Everyone,
    First of all if you are seeing this you probably donated to our crowdfunding campaign. Hopefully you already received an email thanking you individually but in case you haven't seen it yet-THANK YOU!

    Some big stuff has been happening lately and we wanted to share it with all of you! As some of you may have heard, on Saturday June 6th, Matthew and I hosted a yard sale at our home as our first official adoption fundraiser. Prior to doing this, we were given an opportunity to share about our journey to adoption in the bulletin at our parish and to ask parishioners in the St. John Bosco family of parishes to pray for us, and to consider donating items they no longer need for our sale.

    People within our parish, our friend groups, and our family and work circles were beyond generous with giving us nice items to sell! We had to eventually begin turning generous people away because our small house was so overrun with items we could barely walk through it! The sale was a huge success and we were able to fundraise over $7,000 in items sold and donations given the day of the yard sale! A huge thank you to all of the friends and family that helped run the sale, set up and clean up, and who assisted with vehicles in picking up items! We could not have done it without you all!

    In this past week following the yard sale, even more donations began to pour in, putting us somewhere between $8,000-$9,000 in donations given outside of this crowdfunding page! Then, today we discovered our largest donation yet- a huge whopping thank you to JTM for bringing us to our fundraising goal with a donation of $10,000! This was so generous and we are incredibly touched and filled with gratitude!

    At this moment, this means we have officially met our fundraising goal! We were not expecting for this to happen so quickly and are in shock and awe at God for bringing every person who felt called to support us to us so quickly! In only about a month of sharing publicly of our hopes to adopt we were able to meet this goal, which was not what we had expected or planned, but clearly God deeply wants this sweet baby to be part of our family-hopefully soon!

    Please know that Matthew and I pray for all of our donors as part of our daily intentions. We are SO grateful for each of you in being willing to give of yourselves to support us. We look forward to continuing to update this page as things happen and deeply appreciate your prayers for us and our child and their biological parents. May God bless you for your graciousness!

    Our next step is: creating our profile book so we can eventually present it to mothers who are looking to place their baby with a family. Please pray that this goes well!
