Stephen & Brittany Rhodes

are adopting a child from United States of America

As some of you may know, Stephen and I have started the journey to adoption, having completed our home study in November. We are hoping to adopt a newborn and are open to any level of relationship with the expectant parents.

Prior to this journey, we made sure to get everything in order. We worked off our debts, we got a nice house, we secured our jobs, and grew together as a married couple. Despite our best efforts, we were unable to conceive naturally. We decided we would rather provide a home for a child in need than attempt to create our own.

Unfortunately, adoption is extremely expensive, even for two people with good jobs and a modest living. While we are anxious to be parents, we don't want to be crippled by debt to make that happen. Therefore, we are exploring every available opportunity to fund our journey as we work to add another member to our team. We are currently awaiting a match, but in the meantime have taken on extra jobs, applied for grants, and explored other ways to finance this adventure.

Crowdfunding is another avenue to help us achieve our goal of becoming parents. We are grateful to everyone and anyone who is willing to help with this process, and appreciate any amount of money, prayers, shares, positive vibes, or support that can be provided. We hope by inviting you to this process, you will see yourself as part of the community we hope to build around our child as they grow up. You know what they say - “it takes a village”!

Thank you for your time and support!
