For those who don’t know, Matt and I have decided to pursue adoption so that we can expand our family. We are extremely excited to be moving forward with this process! Our story is like so many other couples’. We had tried other routes and each time was unsuccessful. While heartbreaking as those instances were, we could not be more proud of our decision to adopt a baby. The adoption process is intense. And to the surprise of many, it is very costly. As part of our adoption process, we have started a crowdfunding campaign. It may surprise you to hear that adoption-related costs can easily total up to $45,000 or more. This is why we have set a goal of $20,000 to help ease the financial burden that often overwhelms adoptive parents. We are currently working with a wonderful local adoption agency. Matt and I have researched our options to finance this process and we are willing to do whatever it takes to bring a baby home. But we could use any help we can get! Matt and I are blessed in so many ways. We are incredibly grateful to even have the opportunity to adopt a baby. We’re also grateful for the love and support we have received from friends and family.
