We are adopting a child!
We are beyond excited and are doing everything we can to be prepared to welcome a beautiful new life into our home. As part of our adoption process, we have started a crowdfunding campaign. It may surprise you to hear that adoption related costs can easily total up to $50,000 or more (yes, you read that right). In fact, that is the primary reason why so many who consider adoption decide against it. We admit, those numbers are intimidating for us as well, but we truly believe that this is the journey God has for us. This is why we have set a goal of 35,000 to help ease the financial burden that often overwhelms adoptive parents. We hope that by inviting you into this process, you will see yourself as part of the community we hope to build around our child as he/she grows up.
Our background story: My husband and I are high school sweet hearts that have always dreamed of raising a family. Adoption is always something we have talked about and believed we would do someday after having kids of our own. Little did we know that we would experience infertility. After trying fertility treatment for 6 months, we decided that maybe our child was already conceived somewhere in the world and that we were meant to be adoptive parents. We are so excited to finally have the opportunity to do what we've always dreamed of, even if it isn't exactly how we expected. We believe everything always works out exactly how it's supposed to.
