We have some big news to announce! The Roth crew is SO excited to share that we have officially started the journey of growing our family through adoption! As many of you know, this is something both of us have long dreamed of doing, even before we knew each other. Early on in dating, we talked about our desire to adopt and have been dreaming of the baby the Lord might bring into our family all these years since! As we have walked through our spiritual journeys, we have been amazed by the gift God gave us, adopting us into His family through Jesus (Galatians 4:4-7). Regardless of our past, our hurts, our brokenness, our abilities, our merits, we have been named sons and daughters. We are known, accepted, and CHOSEN by God! We pray God would have our family reflect this same image.
Now for some details. The first step in the adoption process was to get our home study approved and, by God’s grace, we are officially approved to adopt domestically! Now that we are officially approved, our wonderful Christian adoption organization, Mustard Seed, will begin presenting our family profile book to expectant mothers who have bravely chosen the path of adoption. We are partnering with Mustard Seed because we love their heart in coming alongside not only adoptive families, but also in ensuring each birth mother is well cared for, loved, and feels safe throughout the entirety of the process regardless of the final decision she makes.
Our other prayer is for peace as we raise the funds for this adoption. In our flesh it feels like an insurmountable obstacle looming in front of us… “But God!”. We are reminded that this is where faith is made sight and where we can rest in the promise of provision from our good Father.
We know we cannot do this alone and absolutely need our incredible village and community alongside us. We have set up an account here on Adopt Together, which is a 501C non-profit crowdfunding platform specifically for adoptions. All donations are tax deductible and are such a blessing to us and baby #4!
