UPDATE 3/24: Hi everyone! We wanted to share an update now that we have a date in place. We have a court date set for this Thursday in Arkansas to finalize the adoption of our baby boy. If all goes as planned, we’ll be able to head home that afternoon—something we can hardly believe is happening so soon!

We are completely overwhelmed by how faithful God has been in every detail, making a way for this to happen so quickly. The love, encouragement, and prayers throughout this journey have meant the world, and we’d be so grateful for continued prayers this week:

• For baby boy—that he would continue to feel safe, loved, and at peace as he settles into our family.

• For Lydia and Wells—this is the longest they’ve ever been away from us, and we pray for their little hearts to feel comforted and secure while we’re apart.

• For our transition home as a family of five—that God would give us patience, wisdom, and grace as we step into this new season together. We know that bringing Micah home is just the beginning of the beautiful story God is writing for his life, and we will continue to pray over him every step of the way.

• And finally, just a huge praise—we are in awe of how God has orchestrated every moment of this journey. It’s beyond anything we could have imagined, and we’re so grateful.

Thank you to everyone who has been praying and supporting our family throughout this journey. Our hearts are so full, and we are deeply grateful to be stepping into this next chapter surrounded by such love.

UPDATE 3/13: Hey everyone! Just wanted to give a little adoption update. It’s been a whirlwind of a day. We got a call this morning about a sweet baby boy in need of a home in Arkansas that was born last week. The Lord has been working in insane ways to connect us to this baby through close friends adopting from the same town. We are absolutely overwhelmed with how much He is in the details. As of now we have some urgent prayer requests:

• Prayers for the timeline and that paperwork would go through as quickly as possible because he is born and will have been in a few homes before getting to us. Prayers specifically that when Alabama receives the paperwork they would approve it in record time. And for the Lord to protect this precious babies heart in the meantime. We should be able to have him officially in our arms by next weekend but may be stuck in Arkansas for a week or more waiting on approval to leave the state.

• On the topic of staying in Arkansas, prayers that the Lord would go before us and provide us a place to stay in or near Little Rock

• All the fees will be due immediately since this is considered an emergency placement. Prayers that the Lord would provide financially.

• Continued prayers over the baby, birth mom, the agency in Arkansas, and our family during this time

We have BIG news! Our family is growing through adoption. Through much prayer, we have felt a strong call to participate in what God is doing through adoption.

While we believe God’s call to care for these moms and babies is universal, we understand that not everyone is in the place to adopt themselves. Because of this, we are excited to allow the opportunity for others to participate through financial aid. We hope that this allows for God to receive exponentially more glory as we invite others into this story. We are so grateful if your family decides to partner with us financially but most importantly we ask that you partner with us in prayer for the baby, the birth mom, our family as we prepare to step into this new season, and most importantly that God would be glorified through this entire process.
