In completely unexpected (but very exciting!) news…. we are adopting AGAIN!
A few weeks ago our agency contacted to let us know that our son Desmond's birth mom was expecting again, and she asked if we would consider adopting again. We wholeheartedly agreed, so now we're jumping back into the adoption process! Baby BOY #2 coming April 2021!
This was not in our plan, to say the least, and it is certainly MUCH sooner than we thought we'd be reaching out to our community, asking you all to support us financially once more. However, we are thrilled to be parents to this precious little one, and we feel 100% confident in choosing to give Desmond the opportunity to grow up with his full biological brother. We are honored that Desmond's birth mom would ask us to love and care for another child, and we know that she did not take this decision lightly.
The good news is that this adoption process will be shorter, since we're essentially matched from the get go. It will also be at least somewhat cheaper. Praise the Lord! However, we are still not in place financially to pay for the $37,000 expenses that we are facing. We would be grateful if you would consider being a part of our second son's adoption process, even if you can only contribute in a small way. Every little bit helps, and we've been so blessed by our community's support in bringing home Desmond.
