We Are Adopting!!!

After a season of waiting, praying, and seeking guidance about this, we are excited to start this journey to bring Baby Scheese home!

Adoption is already a part of our story as God has adopted us. Ephesians 1:5 “He predestined us for adoption to himself as sons through Jesus Christ, according to the purpose of his will.”

We know God is in absolute control of every single part of our lives and we are so thankful that he has been our rock for the last two years as we dealt with unexplained infertility. We have seen our marriage strengthened through our struggles trying to conceive. We knew we wanted to grow our family immediately after we got married, but it has not been the Lord’s plan to grant us the blessing to conceive at this time. God has been so present throughout our lives and we are so thankful for all of His blessings. We cannot wait to see what God has in store for us as we go on this journey and get to meet the precious little one He wants us to nurture and love!

We have completed our home study so we are excited to move along in this process. As part of our adoption, we have started a crowdfunding campaign. It may surprise you to hear that adoption-related costs can easily total in excess of $50,000.00, that is why we have set a goal of $50,000.00.

If you are unable to donate financially, we would be so grateful if you would partner with us in prayer and pray that God would be glorified through this process, that our child’s birth mother would feel loved and comforted by God, and that we would have wisdom, patience, and peace during this endeavor.
