Our names are Joseph (Joe) and Emily and we live in Neenah, WI with our dog Murphy. Since we were little, we both knew we would love to have a family of our own someday. Growing up, Emily dreamed of adopting a child instead of having a biological baby. Emily has always said she would prefer “saving one instead of having one,” because of the many babies in need of a safe place that are already in our world.
During our first date ten years ago, Emily shared her heart with Joe, and how important it was to her to adopt in the future if possible. Joe always knew he wanted to be a dad, it truly did not matter to him if they were biological or not. Emily made sure to educate and inform as much as possible on how powerful the adoption process can be. Joe also had the experience of seeing adoption through his own extended family.
As we became married, and our relationship grew, so did the desire to start our family. Over the last ten years together we have continuously checked in with one another, and our heart has led us to this journey.
