Bailey & Kenny Serrano

are adopting a child from United States of America

Over the last six months, we have been emotionally, mentally, and spiritually preparing ourselves to enter into the adoption process with as much thoughtfulness as possible. In January, after a year+ of praying and processing through different avenues of family planning, we decided that the best avenue for us in growing our family is in pursuing adoption to be able to continue prioritizing sustaining Bailey’s health. As you may know, Bailey’s rare kidney disease would put her into a high-risk category for pregnancy and would ultimately expedite her kidney damage toward faster kidney failure. With that, we felt the risks were not worth it, and we greatly desire to start our journey as parents in as good of mental and physical health as possible. Since making that decision, we have felt great peace, encouragement, and hopefulness in growing our family.

With all of this, we are pursuing domestic infant adoption, and we would love to invite our community in on our process! As you may know, the fees that go into the adoption process range between $30,000-60,000, depending on the agency, attorneys, and process. These cover the social workers and agency case workers’ time, all the paperwork, medical expenses of the birth mother and counseling support for the birth mother, all the legal work needed, training, and placement fees. We are in the initial stages of applying for our home study and to an agency that aligns with our values and ethics around adoption. With all of this, we are in need of support in making the adoption process possible.

Thank you for being a part of our community and for your love and care; it means the world to us!
