are adopting a child from India
When we got married, we planned on starting our family right away. Little did we know that our plan wouldn’t exactly come to fruition in the way that we saw it. Each month we tried and eventually months turned into years with a negative test always staring at us in the face. We underwent many tests and saw many physicians. We underwent many treatments and surgeries. We prayed on our knees crying out to God to bless us with a child. Eventually we were told that we had less than a 5 percent chance to conceive. Yet, we both yearned to start a family and to be able to raise up a child in the faith. Why would God put this on our hearts if we weren’t able to conceive? We continued to pray and as time passed, we heard God’s call towards adoption.
During prayer, a connection was made between us adopting a child and our relationship with Christ. We are the adopted children of God. We are not genetically related to God yet our Lord has adopted us by grace. By adopting, it is our opportunity to imitate the Father’s divine condescension by welcoming a child into our home and Christ’s Passion by exercising great love and sacrifice. Now, it was time to decide which route of adoption. We researched and prayed about all of the different adoption routes to take. We felt the Lord call us to adopt from an orphanage in India. There are 30 million orphans in India that are in need of a family. We are answering God’s call and trusting that he will guide us every step of the way till we bring our beautiful child home. Will you help us in our journey to answer that call? We are asking for prayers and donations towards our adoption fund. All funds raised will go towards bringing our child home. We cannot wait to meet our child that God has carefully selected for us. We are walking in faith. Will you walk with us in this journey of faith? God’s plan is always better than our own and we feel comforted and loved in knowing that, “God works for the good of those who love him”-Romans 8:28.
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”-Jeremiah 29:11
Please pray for us in our adoption journey and also pray for our child to be kept safe and sound until we are able to hold them in our arms. Thank you for all the donations and prayers. God bless you always.
