Kevin and I are thrilled to announce that we are in the process of adopting siblings!
We are beyond excited and are doing everything we can to welcome these beautiful children into their new home.
As some of you know, adoption has always been on our hearts. We planned on having a mixed family of biological and adopted children from the beginning. However, after four miscarriages we realized that our plan needed to pivot, and move towards the process of adopting children now. We have finished our application and are preparing for the home study and first large payment due Dec 31st.
As part of the adoption process, we are reaching out for support in the form of prayer, fundraising and helping hands with house projects. Financially, it may surprise you to hear that adoption-related costs can easily total $45,000 or more. This is why we have set a goal of $17,000 to help ease the financial burden that often overwhelms adoptive parents.
As you can imagine we have a lot of preparation emotionally and spiritually to receive these children. Please pray for us and our children as they will be navigating the sorrow of losing their biological parents and adapting to a new family and culture.
We hope that by inviting you into this process, you will see yourself as part of the community we are building around our children as they grow up.
