are adopting a child from Poland

Last Christmas our family found out about a sister and brother, ages 7 and 8, living in an orphanage in Poland. We’ve followed their stories throughout this past year and this fall found out that, sadly, they were separated when the sister was adopted locally in Poland. We were told that there is not much chance of the brother being adopted in his country because of his physical needs. So, our family has decided that we need to try to bring him here. The total cost of his adoption will be around $36000 so we welcome any and all help in this great endeavor that we have undertaken. Thank you for your support to help give K a family.

    December 27, 2025

    K* adoption update-We finally have our completed home study in hand; which is what we were waiting for to be able to move forward with the next things. Now we can mail in our i800a immigration application. Then while we’re waiting on that, we put together the dossier to send to Poland and apply for some grants. Christmas seems to be when our adoption plans move forward. We found K* two Christmases ago. We started his adoption process last Christmas. We hope that we’ll be able to get to Poland by Christmas 2026. Please pray that the way forward will continue to be opened for us. Thank you for your support.

    We wanted to let everyone know where we're at in the K adoption process. K's commitment fees have been paid. We are now in the process of collecting paperwork and working through trainings for our home study. We'll meet a couple of times with our caseworker. We hope that she will approve everything, and we'll have a completed home study. Then we work on a dossier to send to Poland. Send in another large chunk of money. And then hopefully we'll be close to going to pick him up. Thank you everyone for your support, encouragement, and prayers.
